C.A.M.P. COMMUNICATION AND MANAGEMENT PROGRAM

What is it and why should you participate?

The business environment of the 21st century is fast moving, competitive and highly dependent on effective communication. Leadership in this environment requires both, technical knowledge, and interpersonal prowess. Leaders and managers must be able to articulate vision and strategy, and possess the ability to motivate, persuade, and develop others in the pursuit of their goals.

The COMMUNICATION AND MANAGEMENT PROGRAM (CAMP) is a unique learning and development opportunity designed exclusively for those whose responsibilities require impactful interaction with others. CAMP introduces participants to effective interpersonal communication techniques. More specifically, CAMP identifies and strengthens individual communication skills and areas of need through intense one on one coaching. It is this unique one on one relationship which allows for precise identification and development of needed communication skills that is the most valuable component of CAMP.

How Is The Program Conducted?

CAMP has a variety of facets. These include: face-to-face, one-on-one coaching phone coaching and video coaching. These are supplemented with appropriate print support materials as well as audio practice materials.

CAMP is a four phase learning program:

Phase 1: Introduction and assessment of strengths, areas of need and wish list for development ("I've always wanted to be able to...").

Phase 2: Practice of selected communication tools in a safe environment with feedback and coaching.

Phase 3: Integration of learned communication tools into daily marketplace and other appropriate settings.

Phase 4: Evaluation and structuring a specific development plan for ongoing growth.

Coaching sessions are planned to coincide with travel to the United States when possible. Length of coaching sessions may vary from three hours to a full day. Number of coaching days is determined by coach and participant. Typically, Coaching sessions are conducted in the offices of TSIC ( THE SPEECH IMPROVEMENT COMPANY) located in Boston, Massachusetts and Tampa, Florida or at client locations around the world. Between coaching sessions participants have email, phone or video contact with their coach for continued improvement.

What Topics Are Covered?

Participants are encouraged to bring their concerns and questions to each session. In addition, CAMP emphasizes topics such as:
- Identifying Communication Style
- Building Relationships
- Motivating Others
- Handling Questions
- Presenting Effectively
- Being Persuasive
- Communicating Vision
- Facing Media
- Speaking Clearly
- Listening Effectively
- Solving Problems
- Conducting Meetings
- Managing Conflict
- Developing Situational Competencies

These topics often stimulate related issues of particular concern. Each is studied, a strategy developed, practice and feedback exercises introduced, and followed as needed.

How does CAMP differ from other programs?

It's the coaching! It's the one on one coaching! It's the ongoing follow up! It's an environment that encourages openness! It's the real and practical strategies! It's the flexibility of schedule! It's the Style coaching! These are typical responses from leaders and managers who have been part of this unique learning opportunity.
