Donna Rustigian Mac brings 30+ years of communication experience to The Speech Improvement Company. She integrates effective communication with mindfulness to deliver training that both empowers professionals to be their authentic best and drives impressive results. Donna, a national keynote speaker, is the author of Guide to a Richer Life – Know Your Worth, Find Your Voice & Speak Your Mind, (2016), and The Six Pillars of Effective Communication (audio, 2014). Her personal mission is to support business communicators at all organizational levels, to achieve greater effectiveness, well-being, and the ability to prosper – both professionally and in their personal lives.
Donna guides professionals who need to develop the confidence and ability to communicate and become more recognized, respected, and influential. She has achieved great success as both a national keynote speaker and personal communication coach.
Donna is a pioneering female broadcaster who worked in radio for more than 25 years. She was featured on multiple stations throughout New England as a news anchor, personality, interviewer, voiceover artist, and emcee. In addition, from 2003-2009, she produced and hosted the VWR Interviews for Clear Channel Communications.
Donna is also a certified mindfulness teacher and a lifelong learner, studying with Daniel Goleman (author of Emotional Intelligence), and at Lesley University in Cambridge, MA.
She is a frequent guest lecturer at Emerson College in Boston, MA, the University of Rhode Island, and Salve Regina University. She is also the author of Guide to a Richer Life – Know Your Worth, Find Your Voice & Speak Your Mind (2016), The Appreciation, #YayMe Journal (2017), and The Six Pillars of Effective Communication (audio, 2014).
In addition to her work, Donna is an avid runner, skier, gardener, and the very proud mom of two healthy and productive millennials who, of course, have the great ability to communicate!
Donna has educated professionals at the national level through keynote speaking and workforce training. She focuses on contemporary communication and mindfulness skills, with a keen eye on reducing stress while communicating competently and effectively. Donna has taught in a variety of industries including health, life sciences, financial services, and high tech. Her extensive list of clients includes CVS, Merrill Lynch, Bank Newport, Cambridge Associates, and Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts.
Donna received her undergraduate degree in liberal arts & humanities from Rhode Island College.
She gratuated from The Connecticut School of Broadcasting when fewer than 1% of the broadcasting population was female.
